I woke to Bryn and Ava in my closet with the red paint nailish (nail polish). Several globs hit the carpet. No pictures, just total devastation. Miraculously, (an hour and a half later)I was able to get almost all of it out with carpet cleaner. Amazing. I'm debating whether they will be allowed to trick or treat tomorrow. So far they have only been allowed to eat oatmeal (instead of delicious pumpkin muffins)and to clean their rooms.

Time For a Milking
Just recently Evie has started telling us about her dreams. It's been very entertaining to see what makes it into them. Last night was classic. She woke up in the middle of the night panicked. I sent Stewart in to check on her, since i had just finished feeding the little man and was pooped. Evie looked at Stewart and said, "I need to get the milk out of my boobies." Stewart laughed and said, "You don't need to worry about that." Luckily, she just said, "Okay." and rolled over and went back to sleep.

I spy with my little eye...
Bryn's new little friend. Bryn has an imaginary friend that lives in the corner of her eye. He is a little black spot that dances around her eye and makes her laugh. At first we were worried she was starring at the sun too long and getting sun spots. But she showed me how she gets him to come out of her eye. She closes her eyelid and then gently pokes the corner of her eye a few times to make him appear. Of course, bryn would befriend a spot. And he's a great friend, the other day during breakfast, bryn informed us that her little friend was vacuuming inside her ear. He cleans her ears for her...with a tiny vacuum. It makes her giggle.

Emily's Revenge
I was getting ready for the day and Emily had come into the bathroom with markers and a coloring book. Well Jackson grabbed a marker and Emily wasn't going to allow it, but I told her just to let him have it for a minute and I'd watch him, since he knows how to open them now. Well she didn't want to do that and started to scream. So I told her if she didn't stop screaming I would take her markers away. So instead she started screaming at the top of her lungs and ran out of my room with the markers. So I just locked my bedroom door. She screamed and pounded on the door the entire time I blew my hair dry. Then it got quiet and I figured she finally calmed down...(which is the family rule for coming back into the room once she's been screaming.) Well I opened the door and found what she'd been up too. To spite me she had colored all over the walls and door.
I actually wasn't too mad because I knew they were washable markers...then after 40 minutes of vigorous scrubbing with a soapy rag and finally Magic eraser. I got it all off. Then I was mad at her and the Roseart company for not making truly washable markers. She's lost crayons and markers for a month.

Selling Pumpkins
Ben is finally able to sell his pumpkins from our garden to pay for the holes he made in the playhouse. (The drywall cost us $100.) I had him paint his own sign and sell them to the neighbors all by himself. He was so excited. (He earned $22.00) So between his pumpkins and saving soda cans...he's half way there.

Ben'ism
Ben was watching CNBC with Jonathan the other morning and they were showing some stock charts, one graph with positive growth. Ben said, "That is great dad." Jonathan said, "What." Ben said, "Look it is going up...you don't want it to go down." Jonathan said, "what if it does? what should you do?" He said - "pray."

Aaron's child
I know I am raising Aaron's child, because last night I went to put a new roll of toilet paper in a bathroom occupied by Bryn. When I entered, Bryn informed me, "Mom, I'm dooking it."

packs of wild dogs are controlling our cities
Last night during family prayer, Bryn prayed that "all the people will be safe from monsters and mean cats." Aaron and I couldn't contain our laughter. Bryn didn't quite understand why we were laughing because this is a serious issue to her. Tears.
