Snip, Snip
I found a clump of hair on the floor...and clearly it didn't come from one of the boys. When I asked Emily what happened she wouldn't even look at me. I grabbed the camera, told her it was to show Daddy what had happened before I cleaned it up...and she finally confessed that she was trying to cut her hair like mine. Good answer Emily. Luckily where her hair is still curly the snipped part blends right in. I consider ourselves lucky...it wasn't a Favero cousin haircut that takes months to grow out.

Luke visits the ER
Sorry I'm not up for writing all the details twice but if you want more details head over to our family blog. The short story is Luke pulled one of our barstools over on himself and basically cut the tip of this finger off, fingernail and all. He was a trooper with very little crying. I think it was more traumatic for Ryan and I. They were able to stitch it back with 8 stitches but they couldn't keep his nail. They said it will (hopefully) grow back in a few months. We thought the bandaged up finger flipping the bird was pretty funny, though. The best part is that it's his right hand, not his special sucking fingers. He may have trouble eating but at least he can sick those fingers!
They let him just lay on my lap the whole time since he was so chill the whole time. He took it like a man. Ryan was proud. Ryan almost fainted himself a couple of times. Luckily, he held it together as long as he didn't look too closely. There are some more graphic images on the other blog.
Here's Luke showing off his bird finger.

Jack Potty

Jackson thinks it's hilarious to throw everything into the potty. (The blanket soaked up most of the water...it was disgusting.) Just this week we've lost 2 preschool reading books that Ben uses at school, a blanket, and a stuffed bunny. And my rule is ...if it's been in the potty it goes in the trash. I've tried to teach the kids to put the potty lid down after they use it, since Jack can open all the doors. I obviously need to do some more training.
