Quinn is the new Bryn

Yes, that's right. I see a pattern happening... my sweet Quinn is the new Bryn. I mean that she decides to go over everything, no matter how big, instead of around. She crawls into walls (she gets going so fast and doesn't watch where she is crawling). When she turbo crawls she trips over her own hands. She climbs up everything with no regard to her own safety. She climbed halfway up a slide before anyone noticed-giggling the whole time. And my favorite comparison... she is starting to chew on soft wood. I think we may need to get a happy helmet. Pictures of her newest bruises to come.

AR Fatansy League time

Yes, I know this isn't a brava, but I know you all check it. I'll remove this entry once everyone is in. Here's the link to the AR Fantasy league: http://www.6ftdrift.com/ar. You will need to create a new username/password. Invite anyone you want to join, but I'm closing league enrollment on the 28, so no one creates extra profiles (Amber) if they forget their username/password. Good luck choosing teams, most are elimination fodder.

one year ago today!

Gut (Goot) decided to come at 32 weeks. We took pictures with her bear yesterday so you can see how she has grown. And Morgan is only 15 lbs right now; it is crazy how small she was when she was born. We celebrated yesterday because Aaron left on a trip this morning. It was a first as far as first birthdays go: Morgan didn't want to eat her ice cream or cake, she took a few bites and then cried to get out of her chair...what kid doesn't want to eat ice cream and chocolate cupcakes? oh well.

flames and fire, these two are DEAD!

Today while at the grocery store, I was debating in the cake aisle about what I should make for Morgan's birthday. My back was turned to Ava and Bryn while I studied my choices. I grabbed a box and turned around to see Ava dash into the cart-car. It was a devious dash and I knew it was trouble. I felt like a policeman peering into the car of two thieves. Both of their mouths were stuffed full with marshmallows that they frantically shoved into their pieholes to get rid of the evidence. I was livid! I grabbed the mice-munched open bag of mallows from the shelf as I rattled off all their punishments. Beatings...well not literally, but the equivalent of beatings.

The Mentholatum Screamer

Yep, that's Vick's Vapo Rub. I had a basket full of baby lotion, vapo rub, etc. on top of Luke's dresser. Halle decided she needed the basket to tie to a ribbon to lower down the stairs, so she dumped all the contents on Luke's floor (while I was showering before church). Of course, Luke grabbed it and wasted no time.
This is what he looked like when I found him. For the record, he had already had his bath for church. Luckily, he had no clothes on. Four hair washings later (including one with dishwashing soap), it is still greasy. Luckily, we managed to wash the smell off before church.
He did have a super snotty nose earlier that morning but I think all the vapo rub that soaked into his pores alleviated that. To look on the bright side, he could now go to nursery snot-free.

Overheard at Soccer Practice

I overheard Ben telling his coach, "I know how we can get the ball away from the other team.....when we get near them we just push them down, then steal the ball away and make a goal." A true problem solver.

Just a quick jasmine update

It is Bryn's favorite toy.

Friendly Alligator

Evie’s been potty trained for several months now, but she still gets excited to tell me about her poopies whether they are small or big etc. And lately her favorite foods have been edaname and yogurt. And the combination of the two foods turn her poopies slightly green. Yesterday, after finishing her business she was telling me, “Oh, a little one … a big one in there.” And then she got super excited and said, “Oh Mommy, there’s an alligator in there.”
