the strategist

Ava has a shadow, her name is Morgan. Morgan follows her every where. This worries us a little because Ava's first name is Trouble. For example, Morgan and Ava threw a whole box worth of q-tips over the stairs into the family room today. Cursed q-tips. Anyways, Ava loves her shadow most of the time. But when she has had enough: she takes her shadow into a bedroom and then quickly leaves and closes the door. The little shadow is trapped until I free her. This happens several times a day.

Hairspray Fight.

I don't have a picture because I was so furious at Ben and Emily. The title says it all. It occurred in my bathroom. There was a sticky residue everywhere. I was in the kitchen and I could hear some swooshing sounds but thought it was the faucet. ANd when I caught them all they could say was "Sorry mom." Luckily I put off cleaning bathrooms today until Monday or blankets would have been thrown away instead of just taken away. I don't know what those two were thinking! Arrrrr.

Aaron's black rain cloud

The Faveros officially need a lock of Amber's hair to carry with us at all times. Seriously, I take Aaron out for a fab birthday/valentine's date, while our BABYSITTER breaks our cabinet door! The worst part is: she didn't say a word. We asked how everything went? Great, she replied. What is with our luck.

We can't figure out how she even did this. We're guessing she stood on the cabinet door trying to open the microwave but we have no idea.

Her everyday look

This is just getting old now.

Caught in the act

Luke is known to steal food, especially if it's something sweet (candy, cookies, cupcakes, etc). Mia made the mistake of leaving her partially-eaten chocolate cupcake unguarded within Luke's reach. He grabbed it sneakily (is that a word?) and went halfway downstairs to eat it out of anyone's sight. This picture is right when he noticed I had caught him.
Then he tried to win me over with a smile.
Once he realized I thought he was funny, he chose to show off his spoils. For the record, he left a Hansel-and-Gretel-like trail of chocolate cupcake crumbs all the way down the stairs, which I vacuumed up later.

always thinking

Ava wanted to get my diet pepsi off the counter but every time she got near it, aaron or I would stop her. So she eyed it for a couple of minutes and then came into the family room and informed the group, "All of you people need to leave."

Lore has had one of "those" day

Lauren has been sick and fierce this past week. And Saturday just shot her over the edge. Aaron asked her what her problem was and she responded, "Today has been the worst; first, I get a bump on the head (which she did), and then I had a heart attack!"
