I Should Have Known Better

Little Stew decided he was done sleeping at 5:30 am and woke up Evie in the process. Since Evie was up, I put a movie on for them to watch and went back to sleep. Evie is really good about letting me know when Stew is doing something he shouldn't. So I didn't worry about them in the front room. An hour or so later I heard a lot of giggling coming from the living room. And then Stew came running into our bedroom with a roll of toilet paper. Which instantly reminded me that a brand new package of toilet paper, purchased the night before, was still on one of the couches.

And this is what I found.

All of the rolls were used.
When I asked Evie what had happened she quickly said, "It was all Stewie".

Oh, this little boy makes my life interesting.

Nail Polish and Computers Don't Go Together

Jack decided to paint the computer with Emily's sparkly nail polish. It took me twenty minutes to remove it and I caught him while it was still fresh.

Darn you kid nail polish..why aren't you washable.

Luke's Naughtiness

Yesterday our frames arrived via UPS for our family pictures so I was very anxious and excited to get them all hung on the wall. You'll have to see the finished product. While I was busy hanging them, Luke was also busy. That morning, we had purchased new sand for the sandbox so I told Luke he could play in the sand box while I hung the pictures. I had a container of baby powder handy because it helps to get the sand off your feet when you're ready to come inside. Luke thought it looked like more fun than the sandbox and dumped a ton of it all over our kids' picnic table on the deck. Unfortunately, I had left the deck door open so I could hear him. There was a slight breeze blowing...just enough to coat the entire kitchen in a fine layer of baby powder.

In this picture, Luke is hiding behind the table. He was afraid of how much trouble he was in.

Then I convinced him that his "Casper the Ghost" look was a cute one and got a smile out of him. When he smiles and wrinkles his little nose like that, all bets are off. It's too cute and I can't punish him like I should.

Every hole and crevice is caked with baby powder. It's awesome. I'm hoping the rain today might take care of most of it. Thankfully, Addy and Halle got in trouble later for being mean to each other so I made them clean the kitchen together as punishment. I was feeling pretty good about it.

Yogurt Gel

A week ago Stew decided the peach yogurt he was eating would be better in his hair.

Clearly, neither of us learned our lesson. This time I caught him in the act.

And I had just given him a bath.
Yogurt might have to get banned for a bit.

Slidies

Quinn has discovered a convenient way to slide across the hardwood floors. Convenient for her, not so convenient for me.

Don't mind the naked body and the crazy hair. The kid's a nut.

She loves to bring my panty liners down at awkward times too. While the missionaries are over, while friends come to visit. Best of all, I find them in my centerpieces or tucked in corners awaiting for her to come do some more slip and sliding.

They are ideal, perfect for sticking to your feet and slipping on the floors.

out of the mouths of babes

For FHE on Monday, we were talking about fasting. Aaron asked, "Why do you think we fast?"

Bryn responded, "So we can get to church faster."

Boy Oh Little Boy!

Stole the entire block of Rocky Mountain fudge and helped himself. Going with him to make sure he threw his spoils away and finding...
...that he had made a mess with the trash like an animal.
Ripping my Book of Mormon to shreds. Luckily some of the pages were just the index...but I lost a few in Alma. Sadness.

Within the hour of receiving the ball popper for Christmas...little cookies were shoved down to see if they would fly up.
