A little sympathy, please

I just had to post this so you guys know what I'm up against. I was so sure we were going to have a brother for Luke and I thought it would be good so he wouldn't be the "golden child". I'm sure you understand. I have to share something that happened today. We just got a new couch downstairs and Ryan has been relentless about making sure the kids don't take food down there and eat on the couch. He, of course, does it every night but he's the dad...blah, blah, blah. I get that. As a parent, you should have some privileges. So this afternoon he takes a bowl of white cheddar popcorn down there and I catch he and LUKE eating on the couch. Ryan had already commented to me five minutes earlier how Luke was eating it like a total pig cramming it in his mouth and making a mess (this was upstairs in the kitchen). So I mention to him if he thinks it's a good idea to be eating that on the couch with Luke when he's so hard on the girls about it. His comment..."Boys will be boys!"

ryan needs a beat down. Playing favorites is never a good choice. That's why I'm glad I have all girls. Good luck, Christy.

oooooh Ryan! Totally unfair...but with our Emily being the only girl I think we sometimes make exceptions too...I try not too though.

Sounds like Ryan. Next thing you know, Luke is going to be manipulating the girls into buying him new shoes and snowboards. And yet, some how, it will all benefit the family if he gets those new shoes. Good luck with that.
